  Fall work party to carry out cleaning , maintenance and prepare the fleet for the winter.

  We'll be running the work party at the same time as the SUP fleet. Great opportunity to meet other kayak & SUP fleet members, share your summer adventures  and for accumulating your Club Locarno volunteer hours.

  Some things we can do:

  • wash and clean all the boats
  • • clean out sand from cockpits
    • clean out sand from skeg boxes
    • inspect rudders
      
  • check (neoprene) hatch covers
  • check deck lines and bungees
  • check condition of hulls
  • Spray skirts
  • • check spray skirts
    • mark sizes on spray skirts
    • inventory spray skirts 
  • Identify any equipment issues
  • Repairs where possible
    
  • Organize all kayak equipment in the kayak shed
    
  • • inventory PFD sizes

  Create a list of repair tasks for the spring work party. Please register if you'd like to come and help keep the fleet in good repair.
  

  Weather permitting - if it's miserable we will postpone - check the Kayaking Slack Chat channel for last minute updates.
