Rigging Clinics are an opportunity for members with existing sailing skills to become familiar with the club room and the rigging intricacies, as well as to demonstrate their basic sailing competency.
About the event
This rigging clinic includes Part 1 and Part 2 of the checkout. It is for experienced sailors who want to be cleared to use a new fleet; it is also a great refresher.
For those who are doing their first checkout, it will include an orientation to the sailing fleet and club room. You will also require an on-water checkout (Part 3); this is a separate registration.
Prerequisites
All rigging clinics participants must know how to sail and preferably have experience on or an a similar boat class. We recommend you take a look at the Rigging instructions and the Vanguard Manual to have an idea of what to expect beforehand.
Review before the clinic the rigging and sailing instructions in the Vanguard Manual that can be found on Club Locarno website under Sailing Club Documents.
