Race like a pro - CANSail 5 & 6 Combined.

The "Race like a pro" lessons series is designed for those willing to excel their sailing skills offering Olympic level sailing training (CANSail 5 & 6) with 36 hours of instruction. Also, ideal for those that are willing to get into Laser or Tasar racing for the upcoming season. 

Course outlines.

• CANSail 5 – Basic integration of racing. CANSail 5 fully integrates boat handling with tactics and strategy. Sailors are also introduced to the concept of rig tuning and its relation to boat trim and conditions. Sailors participate in a one to two-day local regatta.
• CANSail 6 – Full integration of racing. CANSail 6 fully integrates boat handling, sail trim, and rig setup with racing. Sailors train to perform all skills within a competitive race setting in order to achieve accurate sailing within a regatta and in all conditions. Sailors participate in a regional or provincial regatta.

Sessions.

The course consists in 6 sessions of 6 hours every other Saturday starting on Abril 10th. 

• Abril 10th, 11:00 - 18:00 pm (6 hours).
• Abril 24th, 11:00 - 18:00 pm (6 hours).
• May 8th, 11:00 - 18:00 pm (6 hours).
• May 29th, 11:00 - 18:00 pm (6 hours).
• June 5th, 11:00 - 18:00 pm (6 hours).
• June 19th , 11:00 - 18:00 pm (6 hours).

Prerequisites.

• Have been checked out on a Laser or Tasar. 
• Being a member of Club Locarno Sailing Fleet.

Registration.

Registration closes 48 hours before the first class. The lesson will be cancelled if no one has registered on time.
